He is currently a researcher in the Emerging Technologies and Sustainable Product Section, Environmental Technology Research Centre, SIRIM Industrial Research. Has spent >10 years in research and development work in the areas of Environmental Management and Technology. Has been involved in local government projects for the development of environmental management programme such as Life Cycle Analyses, Ecolabelling Scheme, Carbon Footprint, Environmental Technology Verification, Green Public/Government Procurement and Eco-Industrial Park.

He is involved in the development of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) compliant facility for non-clinical studies as well as projects related to biodegradation of plastics, rubber and nitrile gloves, biofilter and biogas technologies.

Currently heads the Biodegradation Laboratory covering both aerobic and anaerobic degradation as well as directly involved in the Laboratory Management according to ISO/IEC 17025.
