Experience

Siti Farhana binti Hisham started her career as a researcher in SIRIM Berhad since 2009. In 2013 she had been awarded a Science Fund project from MOSTI with total allocation fund at RM192,000. This project had successfully developed a hydrogel film wound dressing based chitosan with antimicrobial properties. This project also had applied for patent filing entitled Non Adhesive Hydrogel Film for Wound Management Application from MyIPO Malaysia. In 2017 she had been appointed as auditor for SIRIM Technology Audit under SIRIM-Fraunhofer programme which is a national initiative that aims to increase the technology penetration of Malaysian SMEs in boosting their productivity and competitiveness. From the programme, she had successfully assisting two SMEs in upgrading their technology manufacturing system and these projects were funded under SIRIM Industrial Innovation Fund. In addition, her field of work currently focus on Biomedical and Medical Device areas especially in Advance Biopolymers, testing and product development. She is also concentrating in accreditation of ISO 17025 for Medical device - Polymer degradation testing and also in ISO 13485 Medical Device QMS - Technical File for new product commercialization.
