Based on my past job experience, I was enhanced my competency in the energy area by having the following certification which are listed below:
1) Professional Technologist (Green technology) awarded by Malaysian Board of Technologies (MBOT),
2) CERTIFIED ENERGY AUDITOR (CEAT) awarded by Greentech Malaysia,
3) CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL IN MEASUREMENT AND VERIFICATION (CPMV) awarded by Greentech Malaysia,
4) Certified Trainer under Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB),
5) REGISTERED ELECTRICAL ENERGY MANAGER (REEM) under Suruhanjaya Tenaga
I started my career at SIRIM on 5th September 2006 under Cosmetic and Development Products at Blok 19, SIRIM Berhad until March 2008. Then, in April 2008, I was transferred to Energy and Process Engineering Section, Block 15 until present. Basically my job task is related to Energy area which covering cleaner production audit, energy audit (building and industry), grant project (MOSTI, SIRIM Fraunhofer,MOSTI and other grants). Besides that, I also involved in training programme which act as a trainer for cleaner production and renewable energy specifically on Solar Thermal system/design.
Most of our project related to cleaner production audit was funded by Department of Environment Malaysia (DOE). The project was started in 2009 whereby the scope covered classroom and hands on trainining at site. I am one of the trainer for DOE officer in the area of cleaner production with the aim to help industries to reduce their water, waste, raw material and energy consumption at their production line. By having those options, the company be able to reduce their operational cost. Besides that, I also experience as a cleaner production trainer for Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme in year 2008 and 2013. The international participants were joined this training for 2 weeks (1 week classroom & 1 week hands on at site).
For energy audit, I was involved in the audit activity for various industries covering food and beverages, textile, rubber and others. The audit activity was started since 2008 until present.
Starting from 2016, I was involved in UNIDO MAEESTA programme (focusing on Solar thermal design) whereby it was started from basic training in Nov 2016, following by Expert training in May 2017 and submitting Energy Audit report (host company: Glove company) in August 2018. Then in June 2019, I was seat for final evaluation (examination) to be qualified as Solar thermal Expert in Malaysia. The result in July 2019 showed that I was passed the UNIDO evaluation.
SIRIM Fraunhofer grant also gave me an opportunity to involve in projects (SIMFUND, SIWP, PPA auditor, Innovation workshop) and those projects really helpful to increase my competency in the energy area.
In year 2020, my involvement in the project of Solar PV Desalination system under MYSI won gold Medal at Malaysian Technology Expo (MTE) at PWTC Kuala Lumpur.
Based on my past experience in SIRIM, most of my job task is related to process improvement (industres process) and Energy area (specifically on Greentechnology such as solar thermal system/design).
