Cher Dong Theng is the Senior Consultant at the Industrial Centre of Innovation, SIRIM Industrial Research Division of SIRIM Berhad. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Engineering Council, UK, and an MSc in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Warwick, UK. With a career spanning 27 years at SIRIM, he has extensive experience in areas such as Product Design and Development, Production Planning, Control and Scheduling, and Product and Process Improvements. His recent research focuses on the digitalisation of orthotic and prosthetic devices (hand wrist brace and below knee socket), specifically in the areas of 3D scanning, 3D design and 3D printing. Cher Dong Theng also serves as the Technology Auditor for the SIRIM-Fraunhofer Programme and as an Industry4wrd Readiness Assessment Assessor for MITI (Ministry of International Trade and Industry).
