A senior researcher/consultant in software engineering with 25 years of experience in application design and development with an innovative concept to the next evolutionary phase. Having strong communication, leadership, and technical background, Nurul Hawani has been driven by roles that will leverage her strength in software development. She is a results-oriented software engineer with experience in the analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of various internet-based and mobile-based applications. Proficient in a variety of platforms, languages, and embedded systems. Skilled at team collaboration while working independently in remote environments. Excellent knowledge in managing projects and products using Waterfall, V-Model, and Agile methodologies.
She has been involved as Technical Expert for Industry 4.0, National ICT Roadmap and Technology Framework, EG 10 - Secured Structural Framework (People & Process), Project Monitoring Committee at the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation in the field of Digitalisation, IoT, Big Data and Intelligence System. Technical Expert for E-Spark with Arkib Negara. An invited lecturer from Industry Field at CASE, UTM in Design Specification-UML, Project Assignment and Technical Talk for MSc. Software Engineering student.
Among research projects undertaken are SIRIM Karbon Kalkulator (Environmental Declaration Scheme for Construction and Building Materials), Multimedia Self Reliant Toolkit Package on Quality Control, Quality Cost and Certification, SIRIM Digital Store (Bimbit.com), Smart Product Verification System (Mobile-Based), Intelligent Circuit Breaker System (Power Management and Monitoring System ), CABTEL System - Sistem Komunikasi Teksi Bistari and e-Jari Centralized Controller Application System. Currently, develop various lean operations and digitalisation for SIRIM IR internal process. Among commercial projects undertaken are Technology Audit Portal, ANGKASA eQMS, eISMS and eMesyuarat, eCommerce Application for InnoCraft Melaka, SDSI, GroomBIG, and 360 Malaysian Homestay, Malaysian Standard Management System, SIRIM Payment Gateway for MSOnline System, Integrated AirExpress & Logistic System and SMARTShip System for ABX Express. Some of the training and consultancy jobs undertaken are the project leader and main trainer for Vendor Development Programme (ISO 9001), Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP) for Intelligence System and RFID, EPU and ECER RE-Skilled Programme, Kursus Reka Cipta Laman Web & eDagang for GroomBIG, SDSI, UPEN Negeri Sembilan, Innospace Sabah & Melaka, Development of MARDI SOP on CREST & TRANSPACK and various Management System (QMS, ABMS, ERM, Project Management) as Trainer and Consultant. She is also the technical judge and referee of robotic competitions such as ROBOCON, ROBOFEST, and COMBAT ROBOT.
In addition, she is a certified auditor & assessor for Industry 4.0 Readiness Assessment, SIRIM-Fraunhofer Technology Audit, 1-InnoCert, and Quality Management System. She has led many projects since 1997 including research and development, commercial projects, various training, consultancies, and currently, she is the Consultant of Business Intelligence for the SIRIM Industrial Research in SIRIM. Presently, she is pursuing her Industrial Doctorate (Doctor of Software Engineering) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia with the research work of 'Adaptation of Requirement Engineering Process for SMEs towards Digitalisation'
